My introduction to Guided Autobiography came through a Minneapolis Community Education class in the fall of 2018. I fell in love with this method of writing one life story, limited to two pages per story, or about a thousand words. Limitations can be so freeing to push up against!

Looking at the Guided Autobiography website, I learned that an online class to become a Certified Guided Autobiography instructor was being offered in January 2019. I signed up!

In the fall of 2019 I taught my first class. Some of my students have since taken 32, 45, even 55 classes. We all become fascinated hearing the journey each person’s life took and how they navigated the twists and turns. We find writing our stories and hearing others read their stories quite addicting!
